Message from the Manager

The arrival of summer in Manitoba means days spent at the beach, camping trips at the lake, and loads of summer events with family and friends thanks to longer days and pleasant weather.

We often think of the May long weekend as the beginning of Westman summer. For my family it means meeting at the lake for a weekend of washing, sweeping and restocking the cottage. The days always end with all of us sitting around the camp fire catching up, barbecuing things and feasting.

Summer kicks off at Rotary Villas with an array of activities. The days are filled with events to satisfy our passion for sunshine and warm winds.

The gardeners are busy coddling the herbs, bedding plants and flowers that are daring to peek through the ground in the risen flower beds.

The shuttle bus is busy escorting our residents to daily appointments, Tours of the local greenhouses, labyrinths, outdoor parks, patio restaurant, museums and much more.

The Artists/hobbyists are proudly sharing their favourite summer memories on easels of colour or bright and cheery fabrics.  We have a stunning glass mosaic called “Roads, Trees and Dandelions” displayed in our entry.

The smell of a hamburger searing on the patio and the all-time favourite ice cream treats are wonderful summer time experiences at Rotary Villas!!!!!

There is never a dull moment at Rotary Villas!!!
